Technical Contradiction and Contradiction Matrix
Translate the problem into the language of TRIZ: which parameter worsens as another improves?
A technical contradiction is defined by two parameters: the one you want to improve and the one that worsens as a result, both chosen from the 39 standard engineering parameters. grupas.ai identifies the contradiction from your problem statement, or you pick the pair yourself from the matrix. If the pair is recorded in Altshuller's classic 39×39 Contradiction Matrix, the inventive principles come straight from the matrix.
What you gain with TRIZ studio
- The matrix data is built into the application; the same pair always returns the same principle numbers.
- For pairs left empty in the matrix, AI suggests from general TRIZ knowledge and says so.
How it works
Find the contradiction, take the principles from the matrix.
-
1
Identify the contradiction
grupas.ai finds the improving and the worsening parameter from your problem statement and writes down why.
-
2
Select in the matrix
In the embedded matrix, rows are the improving and columns the worsening parameter; click a cell to see the principles and fill in the selection.
-
3
Study the full table
The reference page under Concepts shows the complete 39×39 matrix and how to read it.
Screens are shown with a sample problem; the application interface is in Turkish.
Purpose
To reach solution directions that achieve both goals together — without settling for a compromise.
Features
- Contradiction detection with grupas.ai: the improving and the worsening parameter, with the reasoning
- Embedded 39×39 matrix: clicking a cell selects the pair and shows the names of the principles in it
- Manual selection: pick the two parameters from the list and get principles for that pair
- Transparent source: it is stated clearly whether the principles come from the classic matrix or were suggested by AI because the pair has no entry in the matrix
- Reference pages: the full list of the 39 parameters and the complete matrix table
Benefits
- The problem is reduced to a universal pattern
- Principle selection is matrix data, not guesswork
- The team describes the contradiction in the same words
Who uses it
