What is TRIZ studio?+
TRIZ studio is software that applies the Theory of Inventive Problem Solving (TRIZ) in the browser: it defines a real problem, finds the technical contradiction, brings the inventive principles from the Contradiction Matrix, records the Ideal Final Result and the solution ideas, goes deeper with the extended toolkit and ARIZ, and delivers the result as a PDF report. Its training section is used to teach TRIZ.
Where do the principles in the Contradiction Matrix come from?+
The application contains Genrich Altshuller's classic 39×39 Contradiction Matrix. If the selected pair is recorded in the matrix, the principles come straight from that table and AI only explains how they could apply to your problem. The classic matrix is not filled for every pair; for pairs without an entry, AI suggests from general TRIZ knowledge and the application says so clearly.
What does the AI do? Can it be used without AI?+
grupas.ai produces contradiction detection, the application of principles to the problem, an IFR draft, toolkit suggestions, ARIZ guidance, next-step recommendations, the advisor comment and practice scenarios. It runs only when you ask; you choose and edit the suggestions. The matrix, the 40 principles, the concepts, the case library and all manual entry fields work without AI. The AI features are enabled as part of the licence and setup.
What kind of problems is it for?+
Any problem where improving one parameter worsens another: product and tool design, process, machinery, materials, electronics, software, energy, and business processes with contradictions such as speed versus quality. The examples in the case library come from these different fields too.
What is ARIZ and when is it used?+
ARIZ is TRIZ's step-by-step algorithm for complex, ill-defined problems. In TRIZ studio it has nine stages, from the mini-problem statement to the evaluation of the solution. The guide recommends moving to ARIZ when the fast track — Technical Contradiction, IFR and Solution Ideas — does not give a clear result.
Can it be used in training?+
Yes. The training section explains nine core concepts with diagrams and examples; there are full reference pages for the 40 principles, the 39 parameters and the matrix, a case library with ready-made example cases and practice exercises supported by grupas.ai. Participants try what they learn on a real problem in the same application. Grupas trains TRIZ studio users on the application.
Which license models are available? What are the prices?+
Monthly subscription, annual subscription, purchase (perpetual license) and a project license for Grupas projects. Pricing depends on the license model and the number of users — contact us through the demo / quote form.
Does it need installation? How are users managed?+
No installation is needed; TRIZ studio runs in the browser and Grupas prepares a separate environment and a separate database for each customer. Access is protected by sign-in: new registrations become active after an administrator approves them; administrators activate users, change their roles and reset passwords.
What language is the application in?+
